Total Visits
- Total visits by travellers to Hawke's Bay RTO are forecast to rise from 2.30m in 2008 to 2.39m in 2015 - an increase of 4.1% (94,100) or 0.6% p.a.
- International visits are expected to increase from 274,900 in 2008 to 317,300 in 2015, representing growth of 42,400 or 15.4%. The share of total visits generated by international visitors is expected to increase from 12.0% to 13.3%.
- Domestic visits are expected to increase from 2.02m in 2008 to 2.07m in 2015, representing growth of 51,600 or 2.6%. The share of total visits generated by domestic visitors is expected to decrease from 88.0% to 86.7%.
Total Visitor Nights
- Total visitor nights in Hawke's Bay RTO are forecast to rise from 3.43m in 2008 to 3.66m in 2015 - an increase of 6.6% (227,600) or 0.9% p.a.
- International visitor nights are expected to increase from 1.15m in 2008 to 1.32m in 2015, representing growth of 168,200 or 14.7%. The share of total visitor nights generated by international visitors is expected to increase from 33.4% to 35.9%.
- Domestic visitor nights are expected to increase from 2.28m in 2008 to 2.34m in 2015, representing growth of 59,400 or 2.6%. The share of total visitor nights generated by domestic visitors is expected to decrease from 66.6% to 64.1%.
