This section contains the core government tourism surveys, including reports & analysis, data tables, and background details about the surveys:
A wide range of tourism statistics are produced for New Zealand, released on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
This section provides information derived from the Ministry’s forecasting programme. Forecasts for seven years ahead are released each year during August.
The International Visitor Arrivals (IVA) survey, International Visitor Survey (IVS) and Regional Visitor Monitor (RVM) provide insight into New Zealand’s overseas visitors.
The Domestic Travel Survey (DTS), Regional Visitor Monitor (RVM) and Outbound Travel survey collects data on domestic visitor behaviour, expenditure and travel patterns.
The Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) reports on the tourism industry's contribution to New Zealand's gross domestic product (GDP).
The Commercial Accommodation Monitor (CAM) monitors trends in New Zealand's commercial accommodation sector.
This section provides quarterly data from the Convention Research Programme.
