This section contains analytical tools that the Tourism Strategy Group has developed.
The Tourism Flows Model (TFM) is a unique GIS software tool that allows users to study the movements of international and domestic travellers in New Zealand. Users can identify trends and potential capacity constraints before they occur by accessing powerful forecasting data.
The International Trip Characteristic Model is a downloadable Excel pivot table. It allows the user to easily compare a number of variables drawn from the International Visitor Survey (IVS) and International Visitor Arrivals (IVA) survey.
