Total Visits
- Total visits by travellers to Rotorua RTO are forecast to rise from 2.81m in 2007 to 3.17m in 2014 - an increase of 13.0% (363,600) or 1.8% p.a.
- International visits are expected to increase from 870,800 in 2007 to 1.10m in 2014, representing growth of 229,300 or 26.3%. The share of total visits generated by international visitors is expected to increase from 31.0% to 34.7%.
- Domestic visits are expected to increase from 1.94m in 2007 to 2.07m in 2014, representing growth of 134,300 or 6.9%. The share of total visits generated by
domestic visitors is expected to decrease from 69.0% to 65.3%.
Total Visitor Nights
- Total visitor nights in Rotorua RTO are forecast to rise from 3.25m in 2007 to 3.66m in 2014 - an increase of 12.4% (404,900) or 1.7% p.a.
- International visitor nights are expected to increase from 1.43m in 2007 to 1.76m in 2014, representing growth of 333,900 or 23.4%. The share of total visitor
