Total Visits
- Total visits by travellers to Dunedin RTO are forecast to rise from 1.63m in 2007 to .79m in 2014 - an increase of 10.4% (168,800) or 1.4% p.a.
- International visits are expected to increase from 409,000 in 2007 to 531,700 in 2014, representing growth of 122,700 or 30.0%. The share of total visits generated by international visitors is expected to increase from 25.2% to 29.6%.
- Domestic visits are expected to increase from 1.22m in 2007 to 1.26m in 2014, representing growth of 46,100 or 3.8%. The share of total visits generated by domestic visitors is expected to decrease from 74.8% to 70.4%.
Total Visitor Nights
- Total visitor nights in Dunedin RTO are forecast to rise from 2.59m in 2007 to 2.99m in 2014 - an increase of 15.2% (393,800) or 2.0% p.a.
- International visitor nights are expected to increase from 1.27m in 2007 to 1.62m in 2014, representing growth of 345,900 or 27.1%. The share of total visitor nights generated by international visitors is expected to increase from 49.2% to 54.3%.
- Domestic visitor nights are expected to increase from 1.32m in 2007 to 1.37m in 2014, representing growth of 47,900 or 3.6%. The share of total visitor nights generated by domestic visitors is expected to decrease from 50.8% to 45.7%.
