Welcome to the Tourism Strategy Group's research website, the home of New Zealand's official tourism research programme.

From 16 August 2010 a new Tourism Strategy Group will be established within the Ministry of Economic Development. The Tourism Strategy Group replaces the previous Ministry of Tourism. The Tourism Strategy Group is responsible for the government's tourism research and evaluation work programme, including the management of the Core Tourism  Dataset.

There will be a number of visible changes in the near future, such as branding, but the Core Tourism Dataset will continue to be delivered through this website.
