Caveat on the 2008 - 2014 Forecasts

caveat iconSignificant changes to the global economy over the past six months mean that the Ministry of Tourism’s 2008-2014 tourism forecasts need to be treated with caution, particularly for the outlook over the next 1-2 years.

This caveat is important to consider when using the the 2008-2014 forecasts and should be read before reading the forecasts.

2008 - 2014 Forecasts - National Arrivals

Each year the Ministry, with wide industry input, revises the forecasts for a seven-year projection period for this year covering the period out to 2014.

2008 - 2014 Forecasts - National Expenditure

The expenditure forecasts have been presented as a supplement this year because the expenditure data was not available at the time the arrival forecasts were produced. The late release of the expenditure data is a one-off event caused by the Ministry of Tourism’s ongoing commitment to improving the core tourism dataset.
